You guys have to think logisticaly you cant get that whale off while at sea. Its not a pice of seaweed its a multiton animal. And with crane able to reach under the bow they had to drag it to harbor.
 
Either way they still get what they set out for.

had to be dead before the collision, what are the odds of it being alive and getting stuck on there like that
