a pair or a male and a few females could also put a brevis or two in there as well...are you sure that a calvus will get to big... they are smaller than comps...

okay after research they will get close to 6 inches as well, but the time it takes to grow you could upgrade to a larger tank...

well i bought a black calvus for 10 dollars couldnt resist.he has been sitting in one corner for a day now not eating or moving.could i add some fish to distract him.

But your tapwater might be worse... I found mine has some ammonia in it. no good.

What do you use to treat you water? Some conditioners only break the bond in chloramine, freeing adding ammonia to you tank. I used to use Aqua- something or other, now I use Prime to and don't have a problem anymore.

add live brine shrimp and he should eat it right away! Oh, and keep the lights low.
