caribe pbass pike cichlids

rico she means the pikes we will get em up this week, i need a positive ID sent as lepidota but someone told me lepidota and saxtilis is the same fish, so now im lost, the small ones have thick black stripe on the sides and larger ones have broken pattern like my other saxtilis i had previously. any comments?

Can't really ID pikes unless you have a pictures....

Crenicichla saxatilis and Crenicichla lepodita are DIFFERENT pikes...but they are both from the same group...Saxatilis. Gettin true saxatilis and true lepodita is annoyingly rare though. Seems you generally get either sveni, lucius or the like...as they are often labeled as saxatilis.... Hope that helps!!

i knew that was coming lol, my shop is over an hour away, due to i live in a northern state but for some reason they think piranha can live in our frozen waters in winter months, hmmm. im also a chef thursday-sunday nights so hard for me to get up there, i only have one helper that feeds and he doesnt take pics, so i got up couple times a week to do maintance and feedings and shipping of course, i wont be back there till wednesday of this week, i purge my fish sunday through wednesday for shipping reasons of course

Aye, that will definately help!! Pikes are so much fun, tis a pity not more people are into them.... I guess its better for those of us that are though, cuz its hard enough to get them as is...lol.

What are you expectin on that peruvian shipment? Cincta?

this week coming: red wolf fish stingrays piranha and saber tooth tetras (payara red tails)

in couple weeks:

large piranhas lots of rays some cichlids and of course some pikes, also oddballs and electric eels.

as i see on the list now is "green pike, crenicichla sp." i inquired about more and whats available, ill get back to you, im interested in these now to, very neat fish.
