Caribes afraid of light

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Mine have never been phased by light but they do seem more comfortable in Bw with dim lights. Didn't know if you were confused about what the op was asking. It's all good tho and good advice. All tanks should be on timers imo. Walmart has 4$ timers that work fine.

yea, any timer will work, just go to your local hardware store or walmart get the one that you like within the price you feel comfortable with.
in a dimmer/darker setting they will feel more protected but if no one is in front of the tank for an extended period of time with or without light on they will be fairly comfortable and more active.
set up an ip camera in front of the tank and you'll know what I'm talking about.

That's a great idea. OP should try utilizing this too. Aces here I come. Thanks for the advice JP.

Add some floating plants to the tank. They will calm your fish down.

I agree with Mr Jaskot.

Water Sprite or Duck Weed do a great job. If you dont like real plants plastic will work just as well the shadows will have the same effect as the drift wood they are hiding under and allow them to use the entire tank.
