I recently lost my 11yo dovii and am in the process of converting my 240 long into a Hap/Peacock tank. After some looking around, I settled on Caribsea black/white cichlid sand. I ordered 6 bags of Eco-Complete Cichlid sand from Petco online bc I cant find it locally. What I got was disappointing. 3 bags are almost all black with a few specs of white and all of the bags have black rocks which are more like gravel than sand. It doesn't look like the salt/pepper sand I have seen before and that I want. I contacted Caribsea and their representative shipped 6 more bags to me today free of charge. I don't have them yet so I cant comment on their consistency but he assured me it was a mix up in labeling and/or a problem from the factory. I will update if there are any more problems but as of now I'm happy to have dealt with a company who stands behind their product.

Update. The sand just arrived and its the proper ratio of colors and size of grains. I'm very happy.
