My old 20 gallon setup. I replaced it with sand.

I like that sunset gold sand, looks heavy enough that it wont get blown around all the time.

I love the CaribSea Sunset Gold sand, I have 240 pounds of it in my 210G Eartheater tank.

I have only seen the Peace River substrate in the bag, but it seems like just a nice colorful natural gravel, a bit nicer than the standard stuff.

No problem! Here's a pic with a bit different setup:

There's one catch... This gravel is advertised as "cycled." Well, I figured out how they do that. Basically, the gravel is dirty and packed in water. So, it causes an ammonia spike when you put it in. I didn't actually test for this as I was dosing ammonia anyway for a fishless cycle. But that's what I thought was going on...

The other thing is my barbs didn't seem to like it, I think it was too lightly colored and reflected a lot of light. Something to consider. I was using a bright T5 though, because it was a planted tank.

Is there a possibility you could post a picture of the sunset gold gravel? of course petco uses a picture of the bag it comes in on their website, and my store doesn't carry it.
