Only problem with tahitian moon sand is that it's magnetic qualities make it get stuck to mag floats causing it to get in between the magfloat and scratch the acrylic/glass.

That would b fine as I can not use the magnet algae cleaner. My bigger concern is whether it is harmful to fish? Because I heard some people say it is?!

I tried it in a couple of tanks and I didn't like it. It is very light and would get sucked up during vacuming/water changes. I still have some but I mixed it with PFS, I like the look better and it doesn't get sucked up so much. I thought black sand would look really good but tired of it quickly. PFS is IMO far superior but as mentioned mixed about 70% PFS and 30% black it not bad. The rest of my tanks are stright PFS.
Is there a maidenhead aquatics near you? Ive had black sand from them in the past though I don't remember the make. If there is none in stock they are normally pretty good about ordering things in, at least down here they are.

I use tahitian moon sand with my axolotl and it looks great! It is 100% safe for animals and it's a bit heavier than some of the other black sands, which is nice. Also, I really like how it twinkles due to the smooth surfaces of the sand and the tiny gold pieces strewn throughout it!
I have Caribsea Tahitian Black in my 400 and 260 and is black. I like it for it enhances my Bichirs colors and blands well with my Cypress bases. Only issue that I have is that when my big fish play, that sand kicks up... 
But really if you have fish with black markings with color, gives your tank that really cool looking effect with great lighting... Just great looking sand. Enjoy

EnjoyOh and as for the magnetic properties, as long as the magnet doesn't actually fall into the sand you shouldn't have any problems. Especially not with a floating magnet. I have no scratches in my glass tank and I actually use a sinking magnet.
That's great thanks for info, I can just not use my floating magnet, only thing I was worried about was I heard the magnetism parts in the sand are harmful to fish, I hope this stuff is a bit heavier then play sand because I do have fish that like to dash around and it will kick up a lot of sand!
I have used Unipac Limpopo before, that sand was just right not too light to be kicked up, was described as black sand but looked dark brown which was not good at all!

Had it in my 125. Doesn't look brown at all. The deepest black I was able to find.
