I'm kind getting tired of the peaceful nature of my fish's, I still like them but I want to get something agressive and carnivorous (in it's own separate tank of course).

Problem here you see, is with my still being in high school and parents deciding really what kind of tank I can and can't get, I unfortunately can't get a 150g piranha tank or even a 55g really.
I just got a new 38g planted, and I can't get anything over 20g now for this predator.

So, my question is,

Is there such a thing as an agressive, carnivorous, monster predator that can go in a 20 gallon or less sized tank long-term? Cold-water or tropical, freshwater or brackish. Just as long as it's not marine.

I would say south american leaf fish, as they are definitely carnivorous predators, but they are not really aggressive

why does it say on your profile that youre 35 when you are still in high school:)

LOL, Idk really, I filled that profile thingy out pretty quickly. Picked a random date I guess.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far, keep em comin! You've all been a great help!

what's the LxWxH of the 38? You could be able to put a single RBP in it for a good year at least. by then you could talk your parents into letting you have the bigger tank.

dwarf puffer of some kind

cutest killers ever

:iagree: Them little puffas really lay the smack down pretty much on anything. My Black River Puffer will literally bite the head off of anything put in with it. :(

BTW...your title crackz me up. Aren't most predators carnivorous? LoL!
