Carp Fishing help!!!!!

you know carp will hit just about anything when they are feeding .. i have had caught them on 2 piece rapalas before .. and had them on canned corn as well .. so to say it was not a carp because it was a worm is far from educated ..

i have had the most luck with bread balls (floating) if they are feeding on top and canned corn on bottom .. but like i said .. they will eat just about anything ..
 
oh and the bread balls you only squeeze around the hook not around the apex of the bread ball .. so leave some air in the ball and it will float .... for a while anyways
 
Use whole cornel corn with a very small hook, least amount of weight you can and try to use a slip sinker so that the fish feels no tension . I have found hands down this is the best way... be sure to chum the water with the corn before you cast in... GL
 
Update I went out earlier this afternoon for another attempt, and this time I chummed with dogfood and bread. The carp came up, and started feeding on the dogfood. I threw my piece out, and he ate it, but I set the hook too early and it yanked out of his mouth. From then on he was very cautious, and only ate the bread. Thanks for all the suggestions. I might have to try again on monday. Btw is there a different way to catch the smaller carp?
 
Im heading out in about an hour or two for another try. Ill give you guys an update when I get back.
 
I use a split shot a foot off the hook and sink a bread ball. Search this though beccause theres literally hundreds of threads on catching carp.

SUCESS! I hooked the big 3 footer, and fought him for 5 minutes. It was all going well until I got him to shore then he made a sharp run, and broke my line. 10 minutes later I hook and catch me a 16.5 inch carp! Thanks for all the help I was using a bobber with the hook being 2 feet away from it, and chummed with bread. Its only a matter of time before i'll get me that 3 footer.
 
Go out and buy a fly rod. put on a dry fly grasshopper imitation. Best fight of your life and now you have a fly rod. I have fought 20 inchers for 7 minutes on a fly rod a three footer might take 20 minutes.

man if your doing that further on, loosing the fish soon theyr not gonna feed on nothing any more carp are not to stupid. They make conection the food with the stress after feeding the food,they getting scared of feeding the food. Carp will eat from nightcrawlers to manmade boilies up to potatos ,dough, bread, corn etc. You control the size of the fish by choosing the bait size ,big bait can swollow only big carp!! Logic or not?? Check out a HAIRRIG in ya teckle store. If corectly used it almost everything does the carp by himself.
Hiding the hook to deep in your bait can cause problems if you want to do the hook up. Always the tip of the hook must be outside the bait. Play the fish in deeper waters and get him totaly tired ,then pull him to shore also good idea to use a landing net if available minimise the rik of loosing the fish .
