Anyone know where I can get or trade with to get a 3-6" common or mirror carp? I am located in PA and I've been looking for one this size for awhile and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I think you will have hard time to find them since common/mirror carps are considered as invasive species in most states. Best thing is just catch them locally. That is what I did and I caught some YOY common carps locally last summer. I hasnt caught a mirror carp yet and they are uncommon when compare to scaled carps.

It did cross my mind about possible shipping regulations due to invasive nature of the fish and I have considered attempting to catch them that small but have no clue what method to use to catch them that small. Fishing wise the smallest I've caught was around 2 pounds but still 20". I was thinking minnow trap but do not know how it will work. If you or anyone else has any insight on catching them small I would be happy to hear it.

I'd check with your local fish farms. The one I do business with for natives carries common carps, some of which happen to be the mirror variety.

Strange, here the mirror variety is much more common than the scaled ones.
OP, some hatcheries use them as feeders, maybe that would be a good place to look.

That's because you are in Germany.....we are in Americas. We do caught mirror carps from time to time but they are not rare fish, just uncommon when compared to the numbers of scaled carps.

I remember there are few hatcheries that sell Israeli carps but the google search comes up empty. Sometimes you can find bait stores that sell carp for catfish bait in some states

Here in Ohio they are considered forage fish and can be legally taken with nets. That's how I caught mine.Check small creeks or ditches that empty into river and lakes.
