I respect your opinion, but I think a bit differently - I'm ok for few years and to plan ahead for longer period of time - who knows, maybe I'll get a house, move somewhere else... you can't predict everything.
About monte carlo - it's enough 6 to 8 hours of light / day in order to keep algae under control and maintain the slow growth (I never understood people with co2, who need to trim their plans every second week...)
