Carpet Python Help!

My Carpet Python is a 2010 female coastal. She is making a loud weezing sound with every breath. I do not think it is RI because she has no discharge. I even opened her mouth and there was nothing wrong. The humidity is at 65-75 and her temps are fine. Any idea what this might be. I don't want to waste a hundred dollars at the vet if it is no big deal.

I know carpets usually whistle but hers is obsessive.

Please help I don't know if I should bring her to the vet or not.
 
She is not acting sluggish at all and she remains active. And I realized it is only when she is out of the cage. Can she just be stressed out? She is also still eating and just ate a couple of minutes ago.
 
I don't know if this is related by my columbian did that once. I just warmed the tank up a little with another heat pad covered the top with a pillow case to warm it up 5-10 degrees and he's been fine ever since that was 4 years ago.
 
Carpets don't normally whistle.....
It's possible it is just getting close to shed and there.s a piece of loose skin in the nose. It's also possible that it IS RI in the beginning stages in which case you would not see any of the other symptoms you mentioned. You mentioned the humidity but said the temps were "fine" what are the actual temps... like... specific numbers...
 
Ambient temps stay around 79-81. The hot end reaches max 92 but usually stays around 90. Again her humidity is around 65-70. Any other questions just ask.
 
And again, this is only when she is out of the tank. I can not hear it when she is inside her tank. Also she just shed last week and it was in one piece.
 
If it is only when she is out of the tank it may be a stress reaction.
 
i dont know much about carpets but i will add to what i can. like mentioned it could be the shed,stress reaction, or ri. if its a faint noise you wouldnt hear it in the enclosure.
when shes out,is it loud enough to where you think you would be able to hear it in the enclosure?

my bp did the same thing before i had to take her to the vet and get baytril.buuuutt i heard her squeek,wheeze,whistle noise in and outside her enclosure.

i would as suggested previously up the temp a lil and see where that takes you both.




ohh she just shed,i just read that.
that limits it down to stress reaction and ri. keep a close ear and eye.
and if you start to hear it in the enclosure,herpvet visit,or if you continue to hear it outside,herpvet.
 
Darwin makes slight whistling noises when I have him out sometimes as well, and there's nothing wrong with him as far as I can tell, he's always done it. An observation is that he doesn't do it if he's chilling on the couch or floor or something, but if he's wrapped around my arm or anything that's when it generally happens. I've assumed it's due to slight compression of his lungs when he's wrapped around something, or something like that. I have heard or other people's carpet pythons that have the same thing going on, slight whistling when wrapped tight around something.

Now, this may or may not be the case for yours, I'm just throwing it out there for what it's worth. Darwin's whistling isn't loud as in your case however, it's very quiet and only really noticeable if you listen for it.
