BTW, how are those F1 Costa Rican convict fry's doing? Make sure to keep the biggest and yellowest male and the blackest female out of the group.

Very nice, how big is it?

I don't do my fishes justice because of my lack of photo skills. They are so much more colorful in person.

But if you g to most LFS here in my area, you'll find mostly females (obviously not wild caught).

Wild - more male
LFS - More female
 
I had a 3/3 mix with the escondido I bought from Rapps back in 2004. First death was caused by a very aggressive female heheh

It takes some practice to get good with taking fish photos.
