Carpintis Cichlid male or female?

Above are males, note the steep slope of the forehead
below females, the forehead is less steep

Note the darkening area in the dorsal (even the darkening dorsal on the right, when young)
But when spawning they both develope similar appearance.

Yours may be a bit too young to tell.
The male above was bout 10¨, female 6¨
But for me, even at only 1 ¨- 2 ¨, gender differences were fairly obvious

female right gentle forehead slope,, male center starting to get that more pronounced cranial sloping forehead

Awesome thank you! I'm leaning toward female bc of the head? I was thinking of picking another up to try and give them a mate but my LFS has one and it looks like another female I think I'll attack a picture
