Alright i have seen some really awsome carvings you guys have coated in motor then died! i get the process! can you show pics of how you did it! marking it? freehand whatever! cuz i want to try it in my 55 but it would be super extremely difficult!

oh and show pictures of how you put the block together to start carving!

so some pics of how to would be nice! maybe JawBone!?:headbang2

I dont have any pictures but sand paper and files are your number one friends, i was in the custome car buiulding scean for years and i carved my share of Styrofoam., first you get the rough shape with knives and rasps/files, then you get into the more detailed stiff with sand paper, then you cover all that detail up with concreet.

I used a knife, rasp, and sand paper. I used mortar for coating the styrofoam, and I painted mine, rather than dying it.

i used to get blocks, but now i dont work at the body shop so i get 2" thick insulation foam from homedepot, use white glue to stick it together. i personly have never done a background but i have seen people use ca dry concreet mix to create the background then melt the Styrofoam away with asetone because its VERY boyant, wash it and dont forget to cure it in salt water for about a month. otherwise your ph will plumit to nothing alld you might kill any fish in the tank.
