I love catching my own fish. I want to go on a collecting trip, where I can catch exotic species. Amazon, Asia, Florida. LOL

What gives? I drove 26+ hours to go fishing in the Boundry Waters and now you want to go fishing in Florida. Look, I'll go fishing here, you go fishing there and we can send each other our fish. Sound like a plan?

There is an annual MFK pbass fishing group, maybe we need a wtf fishing group. That is my kind of fishing anyway. I don't fish for just bass or just crappies or whatever. I go fishing for wtf eats my bait.

Has anyone cuaght Pbass on a hook and kept them (in your tanks)? I thought about using a cast net to get some Pbass when I was in FL, but I heard it was illegal to catch game fish any other way than with hook and line in the state.

I plan on doing some dip netting in the spring feed creeks here in north east Oklahoma, nice darters and the little stone fish looking fish (not sure what they are called?)

I have 2 reefs, I would love to go out in the keys and see what I could get!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1:headbang2

I would make sure that your cast net has a small weave, most cast nets are monofiliment, eith 3/8 openings and it kinda acts like a gillnet (the heads get stuck on smaller fish, bad gill damage)

walk the area well before hand and remove any trash that could foul your net

I have had good luck with cast nets at night under bright lights

Come on up here to North Florida and we can get your bowfin.... net 'em in the springs, pick the one you want first.
