Has anyone ever fed their fish cat food? Like dry cat food in the bags.

Oscars?
Piranhas?
Catfish? -> They probably love cat food.
Gars?
Pacus?
Eels?

I think cat food will float but it seems really cheap if the fish will eat it.

Never gave them cat food but I am thinking of try small pieces of chicken liver. Catch catfish with it so why not feed it to the catfish in my tank?

I have fed cat food in my tanks a long time ago and when money was tight. Water quality will go to hell super fast. I will never do that again.

water quality wont go to hell if you use higher quality cat food. The cheaper stuff is made with fillers and breaks up in water, as opposed to the more pricey ones that dont break up at all, or even soak up water.

I am sure it was the cheapest food because the water looked awful very fast. This was like 15 years ago

I knew a guy with the biggest Oscar I've ever seen that fed it dog food. And never did water changes. One of those crazy old school fish stories but I swear that fish looked great.
