That is insane. Sorry to see that. Thats why my TSN is in a tank all by himself now. Found my puffer stripped, not that bad though. I also lost a pleco to mine and I was at a LFS and saw that happen to a 9 inch TSN. I learned from all that. The cats go into a tank ALONE.
How often and what are you feeding? Your planiceps shouldn't be doing that if they are even remotely close to the same size unless its really hungry... I wouldn't think... I've kept Lima's and TSN's and currently my TSN could eat my Lima but never bothers it or any of the other fish which the pike might also fit into its mouth but I feed Hikari carnivore pellets daily, and usually throw between 150-250 feeder goldfish in there each week for the TSN, Lima, and all the other residents. ~Trent
