Cat Shark

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i would make sure you get that in writing, things change down the road for an lfs, they may not have the room 6 months from now, and you will be stuck with a shark that is suffering,

not only are sharks not recommended for tanks that small for the size issue, but because they are extremely messy eaters producing large amounts of waste that can change your water quality very quickly in a small tank

At this lfs if there if no room for him they could always put him in their 40,000 gallon tank. BUt they get in sharks all the time so dont think I should worry about them taking it in.

if they have a 40,000 gal, it hink you should be ok:D ,
just rememner the undue stress of raising the shark for a few months and transferring him to their tank

just be prepared to feed the shark from a feeding stick, as they are very difficult to get to eat once hatched, i would actually look around to see if you could find one that has been hatched recently and is already eating

good foods to try are squid tentacles, or live ghost shrimp, i have had luck feeding shark formula cubes on a feeding stick in the past

once you get him or the egg, let us know if you have any problems or questions and we will help you in any way possible

also. where are you from?, someone on here might be able to give him a good home when he outgrows your tank
