yeah i get what you're throwing down. haha this should be fun, but i'll still let you guys know how it works out.
well it came in the mail today, i don't have it set up yet so as soon as i do i'll let you guys know how it went.
well it's been set up for four days now and it's working good. it's a transparent green just like an ehiem pro 2; i was thinking of painting it so it doesn't look so much like said filter. maybe a nice turquoise or something, my girlfriend goes to school for graphic design and paints a lot so there's a ton of paint laying around. i'll get some pictures up soon enough, maybe later tonight. i have pot scrubbies in the first and second tray, bioballs in the third and the filter foam it came with in the fourth. i've been in the market for getting some ceramic rings to fill it with but haven't found the time to go out and buy a whole ass load yet. the only problem i had with it so far is that where the intake tube connected to the cut off valve on the canister leaked but i came to realize that i just didn't tighten it enough. it was a real pain to get primed and i ended up just connecting a quiet1 pump to it to get the water flowing, which worked perfectly. i can't believe i never thought of it before haha.
