Catalina Aquarium HELP - Customer Service Hell

Ebay has suggested that I call an internet crimes number - does anyone have any experience with this?

The waranty was advertised as 5 year - though the seller will not honor it, he is only stating to call their tech support line as he is a reseller.
 
The company has a great reputation on planted tank forums for making good T5HO fixtures, but what you're dealing with sounds like some major BS.

Did the ebay ad list a 5 year warranty, or is that only on the website?
 
Ebay add listed 5 year warranty on the product. It also stated the the color of the ballast should be "black" (though mine were aqua) I thought nothing of it, though Joe at Tech Support states the black ones are digital, thus do not fail like these ones... but since my aqua ones have only a 6 month warranty (add stated 5 year) that he is not able to do anything.
