What if hypothetically it was a freshly set up (cycled already) and it was the only fish to be in there, could there still be a possibility of a disease? I'm not planning on doing this, im just curious now.

So there shouldn't be any parasites, diseases, or anything harmful in there right? Living in a vacuum i dont quite understand. The same stuff floating around in the air is more than likely floating around by the water source. And what could be in the food that can affect them in a negative way? Don't they (hikari and others) do tests on the food to make sure it is fit to give our fish the most vitamins, nutrients, and overall best health, but i can see what you mean if you're using nasty feeders. Once again im not saying it's right or wrong to do i'm just trying to get a better understanding
