Best of luck with the next trip. Around here i only know of two places i could catch hybrids. I here people catch herring and live line them for hybrids in 12 feet of water.

So a buddy called me last yesterday, and was like, "Hey, Dad wants to go fishing, do you want to go?" Well does a bear crap in the woods and whipe his butt with a white rabbit???? HELLLLLLLL YEAH I wanna go. So off to pick up some new tackle. I picked up a baitcast reel, and a 6ft medium action Ugly stick, and some line. We get all set up, 9 dozen minnows, crappie lights etc etc. We were on the water for no more than five minutes when one of the guys in the boats lands a pretty decent size sand bass. My buddy lost a couple of nice size ones, due to his inexperience with fishing. He got them to the surface, but when they saw the boat, they would bolt, and snap his line or break the hooks. So we continue fishing, all the while he is whining like a three year old that just dropped his sucker in the dirt :), and it all turned out to be a really good night. We brought in a total of 53 sand bass. My buddy and I pulled in 33 while the old heads in the back of the boat pulled in 20. Here are a couple of pics of the catch just before we filleted them. That is my buddy showing how he is going to be feasting on MY catch which was the biggest catch of the night, and that is me right after I hauled the biggun in the boat
Are those hybrids or white bass or white perch? or is it a mix of different fish?

Yes sirrrrr. Know that I have me some decent equipment, I am going to keep it in the truck with me, and do as you do bruh, and hit up some spots on my lunch break, and after work. This is too much fun that I have been depriving myself of

Here is another guide to look at. It is hard to distinguish (for me) the difference because all of them are variants of closely related fish. Depending on whose eggs/sperm are used.

None the less.....we had fun catching them all and drinking Michelob Ultra while doing it.

Oh, and yeah, whatever we want to call them, they taste damn good

These are reaalllllll good eating.....TO ME....now everyones taste is different, so the best I could say, is go get a few minnows and go out and try your hand at catching some. The fishing can go non stop if you come up on a good size school.
