I saw a documentery on tv the other day about Snakeheads, and how they are becoming a native specie in the rivers and lakes around the Washington DC area.

Just curius...has anyone caught one around this area? I live about two hours from DC and i have a 23 foot fishing boat that my dad and i take out deep see fishing, i could easyly go to the Potomac River and try and catch one of these basterds..

Has anyone had any luck in catching one in the Potomac River?

Thanks!

I think that the SH in that area are off limits to fishing and collecting even if they've become well established.

I was'nt aware that they were in Wisconsin but I doubt that it is legal to remove them from any U.S.waters.

They arn't in Wisconsin waters there was one caught by a DNR fish survey crew in 2003 and released because they thought it was a bowfin. However, I have not heard of any others being found.
