Catching Banded Killifish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Been to Leightons too, on the Abby river.
Caught some more killis today, actually not too far from Leightons. Some were 4"+.

Nice, I think I'm going to nix the Casco Idea and just head up to Gardner early Sat. morning. I figured I'd go right by the boat launch at the park.

Might be fishing in the morning. What time do you think you might be in Gardiner? Probably better on the upstream side of the dock at the boat ramp.
High tide is about 8:30 am so might be a bit more difficult to find them. You might want to try the Augusta ramp as well; it's about 4-5 miles upstream.

Will do, I was going to try to get there for 6:30 ish (a.m.). Do you find low tide better?

Usually low tide is better.

So I posed this yesterday, but apparently it was lost with the current glitches. Thanks for all the tips guys I got 3 yesterday which are doing well in my tank as of now. I was able to get them at the place spotfin suggested.

Also spotfin sorry for not texting you, I got your message yesterday when I got back. I sent you a message yesterday, but again with the glitches lately, I'm not sure if it went through.

No problem. Glad you found some. I did get your message today. Wasn't sure if you got mine either with the glitches. I stopped by the ramp around 7:30- 8, figured you had already been there. I did push two more out of the grass onto the ramp.

Cool. Yeah, low tide is easier to catch them. Give me a shout next time you are over this way ( killis, smelt, etc).
