Catching Crawfish and minnows

I never used traps or nets, i usually just catch them with my bare hands. :D
Maybe i just got skills in catching them with my hands.

I've never had any luck with DIY traps. I live next to a shallow creek and I've found the easiest way is to use nets. For crayfish I just flip over rocks and catch them with my hands.

I have made crawdad traps, they're pretty east, basically a cylinder with two funnel ends and an access door. However, if you only need one or two you're better off buying them. Your homemade one isn't going to save you enough money to make it worthwhile. I think minnow traps are nearly identical but with smaller entrances.

For crawdads almost any meat will work as bait, for best results leave it out overnight. Crawdads love undercut banks, in my experience.

Good luck!

i buy traps at bass pro shop cost 10 bucks and its hella worth it

I found the holes were to big and mosquito fish even large ones were swimming right through but your right for minnows they are good . My model the middle opens right up unless you tie it with cable ties, etc.
