Catching gold fish with a hook?Backwater pond

most goldfish turn into a camoflauge brown color eventually when they get really big. i rarely see goldfish still gold or orange after a few years even if they started out bright.

what are you talking about?...goldfish don't get to 15" in a year and all the large goldfish i catch are bright orange even at 15"...i get some that are 2-10" that are brown or grey...also in my buddys goldfish pond he has 5-6yr old goldfish that are still bright orange...it is just different fish not that they all get that color...the only thing i can see that is kinda all around is that they get and lose the jet black marks...orange and white marks are perminent...

Hmm well theyre like 10" and really fat... But I am now more interested in the 20" plus bass I saw cruising by. The place is covered in weeds... There are crayfish in there..so any tips?
