Those are some awesome fish, packing my crap to move to florida.

Wish they had Crenicichla....or festae...:D...probably do....just noones caught them or posted yet! That would be WICKED to hook a full grown marm. or lent! HA!

That's pretty awesome, I wish there was something like that in Connecticut.

You can go snakehead fishing in the potomac river in dc....they open it up to everyone.

The Local fish and Game use electic prods to kill them

oscars are pound for pound way better fighters than any other fish i have ever caught in a fl canal except for tarpon. those uros are really annoying though :swear: . always gettin in the way of everything.

If any one is in the Northern Virginia Area. Snake Head fishing is pretty hot at Great Falls in the McLean Area.

I'd imagine anywhere that stays relatively warm throughout most of the year (the South, parts of Texas, and here in AZ) have good populations of cichlids in local lakes. I have customers come in to my Petsmart all the time buying feeders for giant Peacock Bass they catch in the lakes just outside of Phoenix.

Where in FL would be the best place to fish for cichlids? I think it would be so cool to catch one, even if I couldn't keep it.

i think the sh give the best fight specially when you have a 3 footer on line
