Thinking of doing a pair of bluegill and a brown bullhead catfish in my 75 gallon, I plan on making it like their natural habitat so LOTS of wood and some big plants including duckweed on top. would this work?

It'll be a good grow out tank. Bluegills can actually get pretty big as can bull head

What about a single green sunfish since those get bulky, and a species of madtoms. This could work for life and not a grow out.
Thats not a bad idea madTom's are cool I wish they could do warmer Temps and got just a little bigger

That's a channel cat in the picture...males get a big beefy head like that during the spawning season.
I mean, that’s what I was thinking too, but hell, you never know. Biggest bullhead I’ve caught was maybe 10”
