Catfish batter

I got two good sized catfish fillets in the fridge right now and wondering what you guys do as a batter and how you cook it I’m trying to look for and try a new style I usually pan fry fish in a mix of flour, salt and pepper, a bit of cumin and a bit of pepper flakes and pan fry 5-6 minutes each side and it’s always been delicious but catfish, I’ve never fried myself and today’s the day I do it so please let me know if any of you have other cooking styles

I’ll try to add some garlic powder and lime juice. Would that be good what do you think

Cooked perfectly but breading a bit too crunchy would have been amazing if I left in full fillets and fried
