In search of Leiarius
the cats ill have:giant rapheal, liearius pictus, albino channel cat.

SO far as a staple I have pond fish pellets, I also plan on using shrimp and live snails to feed them.

what else isn't wallet burning.

small dog food, cat food. My lima loves it and so do all the other fish. Since i put the lima into the 240 its been fed catfood, and its grown around 3 inches in the last 8 months or so, its now around 12 inches and healthy. Its super cheap too, about $7 for a 20 pound bag that lasts forever.

Earthworm colecting is awsome, forgot about that one. Thankyou KnifeGill

Thats why Ive got the pond fish kibble for. 808

I forgot to add Ill aslo feed them freshly collected invasive asian clams from the local creek when the water is flowing good, not stagnant. 0 rain in summer.

go catch some blue gill and filet them or and fish thats abundant around your house

another good one , I just not to good at catching fish with rod and reel, but Ill will definately try. Thankyou scalesandfins

My all my cats get talipia, shrimp, worms. Sometimes massivore as a treat. Talipia is pretty cheap, worms 2.

tilapia would be pricy here I think , Unless I can find some frozen fillets.

have you ever thought about raising tilapia in a pond ?

i bowfish for carp during spawn in the spring, shoot somewhere around 50-60 30 or so lb fish, they are a non native invasive fish and it helps keep the dnr from having to electo shock the lake to get rid of them. i fillet and cube the meat and freeze it in my deep freeze then just thaw out a bag as needed. also squid is cheap at meat markets, i feed my pacu's dog food and my oscars and cats always eat some too.
