Catfish foods

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Depends on which catfish, a pleco will have a different diet than an RTC. My Corys get wardley shrimp pellets and scraps of bloodworms from my Asian BB catfish. My Asian Bunblebee catfish gets either frozen bloodworms or live blackworms. I've never seen my striped raph eat since I upgraded his tank (probably just adopted more nocturnal habits) but back when he was a diurnal feeder he ate anything he'd fit in how mouth: shrimp pellets, hikari algae wafers, brine shrimp, you name it! And my sailfin pleco mainly eats my nice driftwood and hikari algae wafers. Also you know how people make specialized homemade cichlid food sometimes, well I'm working on some frozen "catfish cubes" for my carnivorous. Catfish. It'll be really helpful since my Asian bb only eats frozen or live and I won't have to thaw a cube (although lately I've just been dropping in a frozen cube of bloodworms and he eats it whole, and frozen!). I'll be sure to post the recipe once I'm done and satisfied my cats will eat it, enjoy it, and it targets the correct dietary needs.

For carnivorous cats I like NLS! Major growth results in slow growing cat species! And shrimp, smelt, tilapia, and earthworms!
