raphael catfish could work in 10 gall too, get a small one, they take ages to grow, but you may find them boring. They hide all the time and active only when the lights are out.
The fish guy in my lfs told me that they have an 8" raphael, I ordered them, its coming on this wed, lets see if his telling me the truth.
Rhaphael looks awesome when they're big, but would need a larger tank, 30-40 perhaps.

Spotted Raffies grow to about 3-4", so I assume that one could work in an extremely well planted 10g. Striped Raffies can reach 9" in length though.

Well the construction of the shelve is gonna have to wait a day or two. But i kinda have a stocking plan for my 55. I was thinking, my pictus cats, A pleco or two, and possibly a oscar of some sort, and some other sort of smaller fish like chiclids, and something i wanted for a long long time, A dragon fish!. Any ideas?

Yay well my 10 gallon is gonna become something like a tank for bala sharks.

I would drop the Oscar and go with the smaller Cichlid idea. The Oscar will just pollute the water and make everyone's life miserable -- they're great fish, but only in larger tanks. Also, it would eat your other fish -- well, the little tetra and shiner, at least.

As for the Plecos, be careful of which kind you get -- the common ones can grow huge and poop a whole lot, which will just make the tank nasty. You don't HAVE to have a pleco, either -- I mean, if you want one, go ahead, but some folks think it's like a prerequisite to fishkeeping that you have a pleco. Lots of us manage just fine without them.

Remember that you're going to want to up the number of Pictus and Tetras -- I'd do this first, anyway. I don't know what an Emerald Shiner is, but if it's some sort of minnow, it's likely a schooling fish, as well. And include some caves in your aquascaping for the Pictus.

How about six of your Pictus, a dozen of the tetras, six to eight shiners, and a pair of Angels? You can't go too large on which Cichlid you pick because they'll eat the little fish you've already got, and also, the Pictus, as I mentioned earlier, are going to represent a pretty large bioload if you keep them the way you should, and increase their numbers. This would also leave room for one of the Plecos that stay smaller, too, I think.

Well today one of my shiners and my tetra got into a fight and killed each other, so i took my other shiner out and put him back with the others in the bucket. And justonemoretank, what do you think about putting a dragon fish in their too?

You mean a Dragon Goby? They're brackish.

LOL are you mixing bait fish with your tank fish? You could easily introduce parasites that way!

hey pd, wanna go on a group order of fish? im getting a list around from fish farm and if you want we could get them coming in from the same order. what do you think?
