keep the gravel just switch your lighting up use a smaller strip that'll dim it enough to where thell come out n play n u can still see em' try a 50/50 bulb also

the bulb i get . do you really think that will make them come out? ... because iv tryed useing a flash light when the lights were out and he booked right back in to his hideing spot right when he saw the light....

sure they did that concentrated lights even brighter to them than the strip,i have a deep water tang. 65g. thats 3' long i use a 30" strip w/ 24" powerglo works perfect for them the black water will just stain the h20 n lower the ph will work though

use small LED lights, or a moon light. will be very dim, and with all the lights off in the room youre in they should come out to scavenge.
