CATFISH ID!!!

Ameiurus species,basically one of the North American coldwater Bullhead cats like has been suggested already,there's a few members in this genus but most seldomly grow larger than 10-12" in captivity,very stocky fish though.

Up here in south Dakota the bull heads are 8-10" and if you can catch a 10" one you are lucky. Down in Texas they were around 16" for a nicer one.

well this one was cuaght in a net out of a dried up creekbed mud puddle
