So I've had this guy for about a five years. I've always called it a syno hybrid. It was sold as synodontis eupterus. But we once got "synodontis hybrids" from our supplier so I don't know.
Anyways, thought I'd ask. I don't think I've ever posted pictures of him. He hides all day and Is pretty quick. He has a bad attitude too.

Aww jeez, I'm terrible with synos especially hybrids. Looks like Eupterus cross of sorts
Velifra maybe?
I'll see if I can find anything else, but very nice fish

I've I think I've looked at pictures of every fish in the genus haha. He looks like a young eupterus but any adult ones I've seen where bigger and had spots.

That size sounds about right for a eupterous of that age.

Dang. Really? They get bigger, right? Like 8"-9" and really fat? With spots?
I guess all the ones that were donated to our store where super old.

I'm not sure exactly how big they get but mine topped out at around the size of yours after a few years of having them.

Well dang. I thought something was wrong. Guess I've only seen expectional fat pigs lol.

I've never seen them much bigger than that.
