Tatia species are very small catfish and would easily be overlooked. I'm assuming thats what it is since you said wood cat. I don't know how you could let it go that long without looking for it if you thought it died but maybe that's just me...

i had a pictus baby that was inside a fake roots piece. he was missing for months. i figured he had jumped and the cat had gotten him. i completely drained the tank and in the roots it most have retained water. cause after all the other fish died of ich. and i drained the tank. i filled it up cycled it and put in my tiger oscar i had at the time. my blood parrot and my 2 jack dempseys. i look in there one day and there is this little 3 inch pictus, i had bought him 5 months earlier as a 2 incher.

it is a weird story. he was put in 75g with lots of decorations originally. I only saw him once after i threw him in there few months after the purchase. I moved 3 times and completely drained all my tanks. He ended up in 180g now. i guess he traveled inside one the pieces of driftwood or those petmart plastic logs.
I am not sure on the species. i never really cared to look it up, but i probably should

the worm will get eaten really fast by the three lesser sirens i have in there. they eat everything in seconds. i'll just try to catch him at 2am sometime when i dont have to work
