Good news for me and other MCL members is that my tank is comming along nicely and the final dimensions I have settled on are 18'x9'x3.5'. Roughly 4000 gals. I'm trying to do this for under 1000 dollars. Granted my glass was free, but this tank is exclusively buillt for my growing catfish collection. I'll be making a diy probably tomorrow night on the progress and will link it in one of my stickies and here also. This is for a fishkeeper on a budget like me. Done a little at a time you could easily build this tank over a period of a year, but I am compressing it into a few months hopefully. I noticed one thing when I looked at other tank builds. Price!!! I'm looking for something huge, but yet in my budget. This tank will hopefully in the future house around 20-30 species of catfish that grow to 2.5' or larger.

Cool. Here's a pic I posted elsewhere already of what's going on so far.

That's a 9' x 3' x 3.5' section, and yesterday I added another 1.5' to it, but I need some more adhessive before I work anymore on it. I've also started on one of the window frames. Bad news is the glass was broken yesterday. New goal is to obtain two large pieces of acrylic or glass for the front.

man thats awesome bro..its great to see ure structure starting to take form!

Thanks, that is the left side of the tank. I have it turned to it's final position 90 degrees to that wall and I am building it from left to right in place lol. It's super heavy already, and super sturdy. So far I've had no help at all and have worked on it for probably 12 hours total in the past two weeks.

Petitioning this become a sticky!!!!
