I was "told" there is a appendage behind the anal fin and that the males have the appendage and mine does

DrZacharyus is this your bad boy? I cant see where the appendage is on him or is it diifcult to see? I def cant see one on mine so maybe she is a lass?!?!
is that better? its right before his last fin on the bottom (anal fin). do his eyes look cloudy at all?

DrZacharyus thanks for that I can see it clearly now. My one definitely does not have that so who knows. The eyes look fine, the same as my Ogre. What are you feeding him?
fresh caught shrimp as ive heard this is a good staple for him, and sinking carnivore pellets. mine is still just about 4" and I havent seen any growth really. Ive heard they only get 10-13" in captivity
My one is about 7.5-8" and well established now. He sulked and wouldnt eat when I got him first. Now he comes up to the top of the tank to take his food from my fingers. I too give him prawns/shrimps as well white fish fillet which I buy from the supermarket. He cost me £300 but worth every penny. Bought him the same day as my Tig so a tight month with an anorexic wallet after that lol
