What other fish do you have in the tank already?

right now i have two oscar one close to 10" and another close to 7" common pleco, BKG 8", cichlasoma dimerus, tailspot ctenopoma 4" convict but she is in a breeding tank at the moment, and i have 2 gold severums/3 venusta haps that in a grow out tank, and coming this week a few africans (blue cobalt/red zebra/bumblebee/yellow labs) all of them are on the 5-6" range .... ya i know odd mix but the oscar are very tame and content with small fish even ones that can fit in there mouths

Yea, in the end its your tank and everything.

Ya everyone stays away from one another only trouble maker in my tank is the dimerus he picks on the oscars, especially the tiger he too much of a wimp to stick up to him so my larger albino steps in and settles him down, but that's about it for aggression and trouble

It sounds like you really don't need any other fish in that tank...

PS a Lima or anything bigger WILL eat all those little fish (the labs etc)

Ok, I wondered what it will be like with all of em in there lol, just though I'd like a bottom feeder that eats scrapes left over from the messier eaters....

Lima Shovenoses are pretty cool as long as you dont care if they dont move that much exept at night

LSN is a picky eater in itself. It will not clean the bottom as an RTC, small-to-smallish pims, synos, bullheads, etc. would do. They often despise any non-fleshy foods.

I was going to suggest looking into the Aguarunichthys genus (Pimelodidae family) but I am not sure they would fit the bill in terms of cleaning up. They can fit the bill of great-looking and having the right size.

All of these are usually quite unfussy omnivores:

If raphs are no good, one can look at other smallish Doradidae: http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/family.php?family_id=12 These are usually good cleaners.

Smallish Auchenoglanis http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/genus.php?genus_id=70#2558.

Large synos: http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/genus.php?genus_id=29#1620

Smaller bullheads: http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/genus.php?genus_id=20#1050

Smallish pims from the Pimelodus genus: http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/genus.php?genus_id=101#653 including the one mentioned above http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=653

PS: I agree - overstocking can be dangerous and/or lethal.
