Catfish species that stay under 12"

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
LoL true, I should have said and able to live with smaller tank mates...maybe I should stick to other species.

well the smallest ones would be about 3" and those are only 2-3 fish, the rest are 6" and up. i dont mind losing them but when it comes to introducing new juvie fish that may be smaller i dont want them eaten as they grow. although if i added a catfish i would most likely buy it young and small and i would have some time to get other fish before it matures.

Then of my list, the suncat, dwarf giraffe cat, and hoplo are all that remain as safe possibilities.

Black upside down cat (Mystus leucophasis)

mine hangs out all day upside down under a branch of driftwood. not the most active, but when he is moving around he does it upside down and that is pretty awesome.

I decided to hold off on adding fish. I had a filter mishap in which I forgot to turn the canister back on after cleaning it then when I did I realized next afternoon that the intake tube was kinked so no water was going to the filter so I pretty much killed everything in the filter so with my awesome luck I can't add anything
