actually if further studies can be found that the damns will DIRECTLY disturbed and ultimately destroy the migratory path of endangered species and those close to extinction(which also includes the "megafish") (which is any fish over 6 feet and/or 200pounds) by the year 2010, the damns will not happen.

on the list thats being researched to see if theyre spawning ground is
filamentosum
arapaima
etc...

Lets hope the studies are successful, and the people who make the decisions are wise.

Indeed, couldnt agree more, fingers crossed eh.

oh, thought up another possible use for the streamers...
puffers puff up to look tough and big so maybe they have streamers to make other fish think that they and bigger... and filas lose it cause honestly WTF is gonna eat an 8 foot catfish....

The long streamer is for the catfish to detect any ground moving preys such as crabs, snails, worms, etc behind it. And when it's detected it will swoop in a circular motion to eat the prey, and return back to it's original position.

You can test such behavior by dropping some of those preys mentioned into the tank and observe.

if its a thing to attracted fish it works

i have had a few tigs and the streamer always grows back about 2 inch then my rays jump on it and chew it off

never had a tig with a longer streamers than 2 inch
