Garlic Buttered Crayfish (4)

Ingredients

1 lb Fresh peeled and deveined large crayfish tails
1/4 c Margarine or butter
1 Clove garlic, minced
1 tb Snipped fresh parsley
1 ds Red pepper
3 tb Dry white wine

:naughty::drool::ROFL:

Can you eat the self cloning ones?

Keep in mind that the fish will eat the crayfish in your pond, and reduce the population, but they won't eliminate them from your pond.

Just trap them out. A $10 minnow trap and some dry cat food or chicken livers for bait will work wonders, and you won't be stuck with a fish you didn't really want.

+1 Really, it's only 300 gallons.. Unless the water is muddy and you can't see anything in it, just get in there and pull the crays out. Shouldn't even need a trap, an aquarium net would work fine.

Problem with a trap is you might not get tiny babies if they are present, as they can slip through even the 1/4" mesh on minnow traps. If you want to go that route, probably have to build your own trap out of window screen. Could even DIY it cheaper than a pre-fab minnow trap. ;)

Just drain most of the pond and scoop out the crays in the puddle thats left.

Thanks for the response guys; the pond is mostly stocked with plants (lotus and lillies), its half dirt half water, and i am leaving for the military in a couple days. I am worried that it will eat the lotus shoots and kill the plant, which sounds stupid since im going to be gone anyways lol. I know i shouldnt have anything to worry about, which i should stop worrying, but i have my doubts :(. And the crayfish i put in were newborns; okay not newborns, but a pregnant crayfish with developed eggs.

Yeah, this is a dumb post since lotus grow under the dirt; sorry for wasting your guy's time lol..... :)
