I have a 120 gallon tank with bechirs in i have a snail infestation. Is there any catfish that the bechirs cant eat that will control the snail population? All the bechirs are about a foot in length so small cats are out of the question. I know loaches will eat the snails sometimes but i cant find any the right size. Id deffinately like to hear some options or opinions? thanks

IME syno's do a great job of eating snails. My juvie S. lucipinnis (petricola) do a great job of eating all the snails in their 'growout' tanks. I have piles of trumpet snail shells due to them.

Raphiel cat.

I agree. Almost all Doras (Raphael Catfish) would be suitable. They are the wrong shape and generally too bulky to be eaten by a Bichir and are generally peaceful. Very nocturnal though. But snails are part of their diet so they should chomp through them.
