Catfish w cichlids

Also, my jag tends to "hide" as well. Coincidentally it is this behavior that puts him in the same areas as a catfish (under rocks / decorations etc). Therefore, if you Jag is territorial (which most are) he will chase to cat out. Oscars usually dont share the same area of aquarium space as catfish. Just a thought, GL with finding the right fish!

Well I went and saw what they had. Basically plecos synos and shovelnose cats. I like the synos. My question is how big would one need to be in order not to get eaten? I would say these were around 3" give or take.

I would say the bigger the better. a pleco will be good because they are armored. If its predator like the shovelnose dont go too big, wouldn't want the tables to turn. Sometimes it works, sometimes no, take a chance see what happens. Make sure you ask about their return policy lol

Alright we'll I went w the featherfin syno. He's about 3" so I dropped him in my neighbors 29 to grow a bit. He's in w an angelfish red tail shark minnow and a bunch of tetras. How long will I or should I be waiting to add him to my big tank w large cichlids?

my 5 inch sun cat lives peacefully with my 8 inch oscar and 14 inch aro.

Copngrats! I never owned a featherfin but I would figure make sure hes at least the same size or bigger than you cichlids. You can always give it a try when you think hes big enough though.
