The Archers are slow growers. The columbian sharks will be more than a foot long when they are full grown, but that takes a while. 40 gallons is a good size for now. Check out my brackish fish.
okay bartier get an arius graeffi. u find em at most good lfs's. not stuff the ones at shopping centres but usually shops that sell just fih. where abouts are u in au? graeffi is a native cat that reaches 2 ft but takes ages to grow . you can get some fer10-20 or up to 25 for a decent sized one.they can handle freshwater and brackishwater.
That is what I was thinking of getting. I can't decide whether to go with one of those or a tandanus tandanus. Which do you think would be better at keeping the bottom clean of any leftover food?
all native cats wil hardly touch the bottom for food but just go around look for food. whenebver i go fishing for cats i only catch em when i use a float. i think tandanus tandanus are nice
I still can't decide, I am leaning towards arius graeffei at the moment. Do you know anything about there growth rate and is there any chance they will try and hurt the archer?
i doubt it but they will get large. to tell you the truth mine always died. they just never ate. the only one that did died from getting his whiskers sucked into a new filter intake.
