sh stands for snakehead. I don't recomend them either, for a community tank.

For a 1,000g tank (I assume you want a community tank of large fishes) I would definitely stock it with lots of south american pims, including tiger shovelnose cat, juruense cat, tigrinus cat, Platynematichthys notatus, and maybe even flavican cats.

There are tons of choices out there, all of the above (simply do a good search for pictures) will grow up to or over 2 feet.

The fact that you ask this question, leads me to believe that you DON'T have a 1000 gallon tank and never will.

This is not directed towards you, I have been in this hobby for a long time, 90% of hobbyists that says "I'll get a big tank when the fish get big" never will...

Only very few have the ability to acquire a big tank and maintain it. MOney is the easy part

I do have a 600 gallon tank and I am still careful in the fish that i choose.

lmfao. DAYUM, for some reason i dont think he is going to heed your advise. partially because the OP is banned and his last activity was in February. either he already has the tank full of big cats, or he got the cats without the tank, and has already rehomed them.
