CORN! I fish in a pond in sacramento and catch like 40 bullheads an hour on 2-3peices of corn. I eventually stop trying and just go for carp and I still get them!

Regular canned soft corn is what you use?

I tried catching good size grass carp with earthworms and bread but nothing they ignore the bait.

belive it or not but dog or cat or even fish pelets work great all ya have to do is buy stink bait hooks that have a plastic mesh that slides slide it up the line and load the net up works grat in ponds and rivers. another thing that works the same way is shrimp and scallops they love em gurantee a catch with this.

i just use chicken liver straight out of the container from the supermarket. i've tried shrimp and stink baits but have not had much luck. they bite of course but i have had much more luck on chicken liver. caught a dozen bullheads last night in an hour!!!!

I always used chicken livers. Fresh is best, because when it's frozen and thawed I found it didn't stay together as well. Just be careful with a rod and reel.... when you go to cast, you can find the chicken liver on your back, and the hook empty heading toward the water. It's somewhat unpleasant.
