Catfish

Well Im looking to get a nice catfish and I would like to hear some recommendations. Im looking for a front facing mouth so something along the lines of a RTC but obviously not that big. Im aware of the shovel nose. Are there any others that you could recommend????

Pictus, sun catfish, achara catfish all are good ones. What size tank do you have?

how bout a lima? there cool and can reach a good 18in

get a 180...footprint is alot nicer...6x2x2...and you could keep limas in there

Juruense cats are pretty awesome. If you want something smaller though, sun catfish are cool and often overlooked.

most true pimelodus species, suncats, lima shovlenose, and the giant bumblebee catfish(rare but has the rtc body style in a 10 inch package). also achara, only if you go up to a 180 though(same for lima). hope this helps

A lima shovelnose will do fine in a 125-150.

awesome, thanks for the help. Im looking at getting a sun cat now. How are there personalities? Purchasing a 180 gallon with a lima is also in the picture. I just cant decide.
