Nice pickup if you've got the set up for it, but your lfs may have just broken the law...
As far as I know you have to have a specific license to sell natives, though this may not apply to that fish in your area *shrug* no harm no foul in my book either way

One thing unusual about t. fulvidtaco catfish is the difference in adult sizes between male and female. With this species the males grow to around 13", the females get only half that size. I got 5 of them 3 years ago. all at 1 1/2" and the 2 males grew to 12 & 13" but the 3 females grew to only 5". Just sold 3 of them, still have 1 male & 1 female... It's cool that they don't need a heated tank and might be suitable for outdoor ponds in warmer regions...
